I wish to be true to the original source material. I'm not trying to insult DeJap's way of doing things, but I disagree with some of what they did and I'm not going to change facts just to get some laughs. In the first place, I'm not sure why the boat scene is so talked about in the first place. I never really found it to be that exciting, but for everyone else in the world, how the boat scene is translated seems to be the make-or-break point in ToP. The only real problem with the GBA version was the alcohol censoring. But the sexual jokes are a bit more subtle then DeJap's translation might have lead you to believe. Arche gets drunk, starts muttering things related to Cless (clearly an interesting dream she's seeing), and then Klarth carries her off to bed after a smug remark. I intend to be accurate, but I'm not going to put words in people's mouths. It's my opinion that undertones should stay undertones and overtones should stay overtones. Meaning that my translation will aim to be accurate without changing the original feel of the scene in Japanese. I'm very sure you've played the Snes ToP throughhim413, i've heard some things and seem the different versions, but i figure you might know. You've probably heard of the "boat scene" right? well in the DeJap translation it has drinking and arche moaning certain things :P in the GBA version is has them all eating and not drinking, and i never got far enough in the PSX ToP to find out anything, can you shed some light on this heh.
