Synopsis

By • March 30, 2014

This is another post about that Summary Synopsis menu we’re working on! We changed how it works and how it looks!

Kingcom wanted to post some new pictures since we made the Synopsis menu look a lot less crappy. We’ve justified the text (for prettiness) and switched to using the dialogue font. It’s also now a two-part screen.

When you first pull up the Synopsis, you’ll see a list of the chapters on the left, but we’ve changed how the preview window on the right works. If you’ve selected a chapter that you’ve already completed, you’ll see a veeeeery short summary of that chapter as a whole:

1

If you select the chapter that’s currently in progress, you’ll see directions to help you find your way in case you’ve forgotten what you’re supposed to do next:

2

If you select a chapter and press the O button, you’ll be able to read the full synopsis of that chapter (or whatever is currently available for the current chapter). This will display fullscreen, so it should be easier to read than before:

3

So a lot has changed since the first images! We definitely think it’s for the better, hopefully you do too.

  1. Wow. This looks really good throughhim :)
Small thing but will you be switching X and O so that it has a more “localized” feeling?
Or will you just leave it up to the player in the options menu?
Nothing game-breaking obviously but I was just curious.
Keep up the good work though. The game is looking amazing

  2. We’ll just leave the button configuration as it was in the original Japanese game. Players are welcome to change the button configuration in the menu or in the emulator settings, but it makes the most sense for us just to leave the default configuration as-is.

  3. Thank you for doing what you can. All is appreciated.

  4. Oh this is going to be SO nice! Like I mentioned in my comment in the last update, this will help me remember where to go, as I have a tendency to bounce back and forth on games, and I won’t have to worry about being lost. LOVE IT!

  5. I really can’t wait…. this is looking perfect, thanks a lot!

  6. Nice changes, the fullscreen was a good choice
