They have already stated they are doing a joint project to translate ToD remake for the PS2.

That question hasn’t been answered elsewhere because I really can’t answer it. There are too many different sections. The only accurate percentage will be when the project reaches 100%. Until then, it’s all just estimation.
I’m not sure exactly what you mean by “remake the game”, but our patch will be compatible with saves from the Japanese version.

The patch will be released when the project is complete and not a moment sooner.
like, now im playing it in jap.. but when i apply the patch and rename de rom to the same name as the save, will it identify the save, or some error may occour basically becouse the save is 100% jap, and the rom is translated (patched).

Bruno, dude. seriously. He JUST said that the game saves are compatible. Think about it buddy, the game save is just the variables and values the game uses to determine where you’re at in the game. They’re all friggin numbers and nothing but. So obviously changing the in game text probably wouldn’t affect that very significantly because the NUMBERS stay the same, because math is nice and universal like that.
Throughhim, keep up the great work buddy, I gotta say I’m really impressed by the sheer level of progress you’ve made. It’s looking more and more like a Q3-Q4 2009 release, which is a very reasonable and respectable pace, in fact, it’s pretty friggin’ fast considering the amount of text in a Tales game is downright colossal. If anyone says otherwise, they’re full of crap and require bitch slapping.
For some of the mugs whining about, “can’t you release a patch now”. As throughhim has stated, this project isn’t being released until it’s done. Why? Because if you’re gonna do something, best you do it right. Besides, if they released say an 66% complete patch, at least 2/3rds of the lamers out there are gonna go “meh, good enough”, completely cease to have interest in the project once they get through most of the game and it’ll make any further progress in the patch meaningless cause so many people won’t play the game twice to see what content they missed.
It’s not that said lamers wouldn’t enjoy the other 3rd of the content, it’s just that people are lazy and they’ll probably skip it without ever knowing what they missed and the rest of us will just be generally disappointed. Meanwhile, since the community support dwindled so much, throughim and his team would probably have little reason to continue and the patch would forever be stuck at 70%, never to be completed. Screw that noise, I say they wait until it’s DONE and ready to present a FULL and COMPLETE Tales of Innocence experience. It’s all or nothing, just like it should be.

really sry, i didn’t saw the ‘but our patch will be compatible with saves from the Japanese version’ in the right way. and acctually, i know little about programation, but i know math is something that can’t be denyed.
i just thought that my save wouldn’t be compatible with the patch (what wouldn’t be any problem, im at the begging, really xD).
so a piece of advice to any1 that got the same question as me, u won’t lose your save, just the story if u can’t read jap (like me =p)

Protip: I actually slow down whenever I see comments telling me to hurry up. I don’t do it on purpose, it’s just a major de-motivator when other people tell me how to spend my free time. Lately it feels like everyone has been screaming “STOP!” at me.

And wondering Most game ive seen got translation are translated fully cause some of the characters in teh game Are pretty useless and wont do anything for you. And you can release wat u got and people can keep getting patches for their game. The reason why i said 6 months is because it takes time and it looks like your a 1 man team.
