Well, I think the image about says it all. But in case it doesn’t, we are proud to announce that on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2007, we will be releasing our 1.0 patch for Tales of Phantasia PSX. Get those emulators started, dust off your official systems, get your game out of the closet, because before long, you’ll be enjoying the remake of the first title in the Tales series, Tales of Phantasia. I don’t know what else to say, but having this project nearing completion is a matter of great pride for me. I hope that you all will enjoy this game as much as I’ve enjoyed working on it. ^_^

Hehe 2 hours, that’s 5pm EST :O. What time zone are ya on? I will say I am quite impressed to see a translation done so quickly. Dunno what magic you pulled out of your hat but I am impressed. I worked on a translation project before and it took years lol.
Can’t wait for this release. I’ve been waiting for this one since it was announced many years ago. I’ll save my thanks until the patch is actually released.

Are you there on like vacation or live there? God I had a friend who went there for a while, said it was a blast.
I’m half way through a year long study abroad program here. Living with a host family and everything, so while I wouldn’t call it a vacation, I’m not here as a permanent resident.
Hmm how are those programs, I was thinking about doing one for Australia. Figured it would be useful for my resume during my college time.

On a side note I got a new video card and the game is running at a lovely 60 fps, what I didn’t get is why when I used the special filters in the video card plugins that I would see the tiles of the ground lol.

That’s a bug with some textures (like the green border in FFVII)
Just try to tweak some tings and it will be allright (with Pete’s OpenGL2) (if you’re using epsxe).
I finished the game with no major glitches 2 years ago.

For ePSXe, I use Pete’s soft 1.17 (p.e.op.s. soft driver 1.17). For audio, I definitely recommend Eternal. I’m using Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41. Of course, pSX is the easier emulator to use to begin with, but if you can get ePSXe configed right, it works just as well.

Emurayden is a pretty good PSX emulator, I’d recommend it.

I am using pete’s opengl 2.0 plugin, thing about the pete’s soft driver is it is workable but lower quality. I used to use it when my system was weaker. I also used pSX before, it’s a nice emulator just felt more limited.
Emurayden = Virtual Station or something like that isn’it ? I wouldn’t recommend it
(no save/load state, no antialiasing,…)
Never heard of Emurayden, how is it different to pSX or ePSXe

I don’t like using save states, they make the game too easy. lol
As for the antialiasing, I never really cared about it… but if it bothers you or someone who’s looking for a good emulator, then Emurayden really isn’t a good choice.
