So it looks like 2013 is drawing to a close. I guess it’s already over for some people. Where did the time go?
I unfortunately failed to meet the short-term goal that I’d set for myself with Hearts. For whatever reason, things never seem to go quite like I’d hope. December was a crazy month and I really didn’t get much done. The initial stretch of January is going to be a bit crazy too. Nonetheless, I have made a good bit of progress on Hearts recently and (I think) things are looking up. My goal is to finish translating Hearts in 2014. Yeah, I said it. No doubt people who have been following the project for a few years will laugh at the idea that I’ll suddenly start making actual progress, but know that I am working on it with that goal in mind. It’s certainly a stretch, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Kaji has been continuously sharing his latest and greatest additions to the Tales of Hearts: Translator’s Cut Reimagination for iOS. I would explain some of that to you if I actually understood myself. Kaji is definitely doing many things, that much is clear.
I haven’t done a whole lot on Tales of Phantasia or NDX lately, but Kingcom has been working his usual magic behind the scenes. Our next update will probably show off some of the awesome stuff he’s done so far. With pictures. Or maybe video. I don’t know yet.
Regardless, this coming year is going to be a great one for Tales fans. We’ve got our first official dual audio Tales coming at the end of February in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. The sequel to Tales of Xillia will be arriving in the West later in the 2014. And amazingly, a worldwide release has been announced for Tales of Zestiria. I’ve said it before, but it’s a great time to be a Tales fan! See you all next year!
